Rio Grande Valley International Poetry Festival (VIPF) Registration Form

Non-refundable Registration Fee: $30
covers registration, which includes a t-shirt, Poetry Pachanga Dinner, a program, two guaranteed readings, entry to workshops and events, plus, depending on your availability, many more readings. (see below; late registrants will have limited perks)

If possible, there may be opportunities for other readings, such as Poets In The Schools, competition in the adult poetry slam on Friday, and at other venues.

You will also receive:

  • a t-shirt with the names of the poets who registered by Apr. 7, 2014, printed on it
  • dinner on Saturday @ Poetry Pachanga
  • a copy of the printed program
  • a listing online—with photo, if provided in time to edit the site, with listing posted for several months after the event, increasing exposure

    Things to consider: In order to place you in an appropriate venue, please honestly answer the questions below. The organizers of VIPF and our venues, partners, planners and volunteers reserve the right to remove you from the program, venue, stage, festival, etc., if you misrepresent yourself or disrespect the language-appropriate requests of our venues.

    ____My poetry is PG-13. The language or content is inappropriate for elementary school students or families, but it’s not vulgar and it may be read in a middle school or high school setting.
    ____My poetry is pretty much Rated R: I use cussing or foul language or tackle really serious issues that may not be appropriate for a school setting.
    ____I am interested in doing a reading at a public school on Friday, Apr. 27

    • we are not liable or responsible for any lost or stolen items.

    VIPF, its founders, planners, volunteers, and its partners, sponsors, and agents are not liable for problems resulting from travel, carpooling, lodging or from any issues related to arrangements made between private individuals.
